What Is A Lube Oil Coalescer System?
Although our Vacuum Dehydration Oil Purification System (VDOPS) has many distinct performance advantages when removing water from a wide range of hydraulic and lube oils, there is a place for the Turbine Lube Oil Coalescer System.

This type of system is most commonly recognized as the Kaydon TurboToc®, which was made popular many years ago, before the improvement of vacuum dehydration technology and component reliability.

Coalescer/Separator filter elements can quickly remove free water from turbine oil, consistently achieving overall water contents down to around 150 PPM. Therefore, if you have a steam turbine with massive ingression of free water, a Lube Oil Coalescer System might be the right choice for you, especially if you are already using a Vacuum Dehydrator and the amount of water ingression is simply too much for the VDOPS to keep up.

In addition to removing free water, the Lube Oil Coalescer System is equipped with high-efficiency pleated microglass filter elements rated Beta>1000 per ISO 16889 to effectively remove particulate contamination to very low levels (ISO 16/14/11 or lower).
Lube Oil Coalescer System Is Ideal For:
-
Steam turbines with massive amounts of water ingression
-
Use in conjunction with a vacuum dehydrator, which also removes both emulsified and dissolved water
