Fuel Polishing Systems for Diesel Generators
Our Fuel Polishing Systems were developed to maintain clean like-new fuel in Diesel Generators. Most manufacturers of Diesel Generators require a Fuel Polisher in order to meet Fuel Cleanliness Specifications so the generator warranty is not voided. Fuel in a Diesel Generator can sit stagnant for many years. Stagnation of fuel can lead to water and dirt accumulation and eventual algae and microbial growth formation. If left untreated, fuel can become so contaminated that when the generator is required, the contaminated fuel can quickly plug the on-board generator filters. When this occurs, the generator will stop operating. This is not an option for Back-up Power Generation, i.e., Hospitals, Data Centers, etc.
Our systems can re-circulate Diesel Generator Belly Tanks, Day Tanks and Main Tanks. They can also be used as the Main Transfer Pump between Main Tanks, Day Tanks and Belly Tanks. Fuel Transfer can be controlled automatically by Fuel Position Sensors located in the Generator Belly Tanks. Not only can we transfer fuel, but when transfer is not required, we can automatically go to fuel polishing. Fuel Polishing is re-circulating a tank many times in one day which generates clean-dry fuel. Our systems remove both particulate and water from fuel. Our systems are equipped with High Efficiency and High Capacity Filter Elements rated 5 Micron Beta(c) >1000 and have a Fuel Water Separator / Coalescer Filter to remove water to as low as 50 PPM.
