Clark-Reliance Acquires Oil Filtration Systems, Inc.

(CLEVELAND) October 12, 2010 – Clark-Reliance, a global leader in the filtration industry, acquired Oil Filtration Systems, Inc. (OFS) of Boerne, Texas, in a cash transaction today. Terms of the deal were not disclosed by the two private companies.
“Clark-Reliance is building on a long tradition of expanding our business through both acquisition and organic growth,” said Matthew Figgie, Chairman of Clark-Reliance. “The purchase of OFS initiates an exciting, fresh and ongoing acquisition phase for Clark-Reliance, as we seek to add diverse, global leaders in the filtration and instrumentation industries. Our plan is to advance our capabilities, while developing an increasingly invigorating environment for our employees.”
OFS manufactures filtration systems for petroleum and many chemical applications. The majority of the company’s filtration applications involve the removal of particulate and water from oils and fuels. OFS is known for exceptional service, including comprehensive filtration rental fleets and field service crews accessible around the world. The manufacturing operations of OFS will remain in Boerne, Texas.
